Nanjemoy WMA consists of several parcels of land situated along the Potomac River and Route 224 in southwestern Charles County that were acquired beginning in 2001. there is an inlet known as Mallows Bay - a unique historical site where you can see the remnants of old ships. Description The park's renowned cliffs, which dominate 30 miles of Chesapeake shoreline, is a treasure trove of 600 known species of fossils. The land--about 100 acres along the river--was deeded to the State of Maryland by Dr. Purse, who specified that it was to remain in an undeveloped state. The Nanjemoy WMA areas of Wilson Farm, Liverpool Point, Douglas Point, Ben Doane Rd.
