The track along the Barrow starts at Lowtown, Co. Kildare and ends at St. Mullins, Co. Carlow covering a distance of 114 kilometres.
The Bailey (village) can still be seen in the uneven grass at it’s feet.The tide reaches up to St Mullins from New Ross – there is a sea lock nearby and this marks the end of the riverside walking.The so-called ‘shoulder months’ are great for visiting the Barrow Valley.
