Much-loved Whitsundays resort Daydream Island is back – and better than ever. The second night was great. The “less fancy” restaurant on the island was closed, so there were people in singlets and kids watching iPads. The pudding dessert with butterscotch sauce was exceptional. The underwater observatory is amazing as are all of the fish in the pools around the resort. I think there was a different chef (a Sunday night) and the food was much better. The dessert had a tiny amount of the meringue and honeycomb promised in the menu description and was not enjoyable. Plenty for 2 people - we couldn't finish it.The steak was overcooked, staff did not check how our meals were or if we wanted any additional drinks or dessert, and on check out, we were charged again for the meals that we had already paid for.
