The Schenectady Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services for the city of Schenectady, New York. The Schenectady Fire Department was called this morning to assist a worker who was stranded on a lift truck at Veterans Park. The worker was preparing to raise a flag on the flag pole when the lift malfunctioned while he was still on the platform. It is the home of ALS Engine 4,  is staffed by a Lieutenant, a firefighter and a paramedic firefighter.Website designed and maintained by the members of the Schenectady Permanent Firemen's Association. Look for those to start in September. It was designed to fit in the residential neighborhood in which it is located. Thank you to DiBella's Subs for providing Station 2 with lunch. We had a great time on Wednesday participating in the Oneida Middle School Teachers parade. It was very unexpected and very appreciated.

Assemblyman Santabarbara’s Project Gratitude thank you cards for essential workers from Mont Pleasant Middle School. There are currently 117 members of the department. SFD is made up of 4 firehouses, 4 paramedic engines, 2 trucks, 2 paramedic rescue rigs, hazardous material team, and a fire boat stationed on the Mohawk River.
