Where the leaves curl it can be just the "toes" of the leaf or the whole leaf. If you have verticillium wilt, it lives in the soil and will continue to attack any new maples that you plant.Hi Paul, The foam insulation idea is intriguing, I've never used it in that way! You are better off using foam that expands and covering it with a screen to prevent animals and birds from removing the foam.
