Families unable to attend the scheduled registration dates can contact their child’s school to make other arrangements prior to the first day of school, which is Tuesday, Aug. 13. Families may also choose a school outside their attendance area by filling out a school assignment (transfer) application.
This option is being made available for those not able to complete registration online but could result in long lines and wait times.Those attending the drive-thru registration will need to bring photo identification and two proofs of residency (utility bill, bank statement, mortgage or rental papers, etc.).
FWISD DISTRICT-WIDE ONLINE REGISTRATION IS UNDERWAY Online registration for the 2020-2021 school year has begun and registering early is more important than ever. The Out-of-District applications Students are assigned to a school based on residence, but as a district of choice, parents can also choose another school within the district. Those who are using MyFWCS for the first time will be prompted to create an account. FWCS has the authority (by law) to deny a request for transfer* if the applicant has been Student and Family Support Services will be responsible for requesting and retrieving the applicant’s records from the previous school.
