He (God) wants us to overcome the battles we face, no question.
YOUR BATTLE IS THE LORD’S (see 2 Chronicles 20:15) The reason I am writing this is to remind you the battle you are facing is not yours, but God’s. Sometimes life is like that. The rest of verse 3 says that he (Jehoshaphat) set himself to seek the Lord! But what you will find is that there is no real, long-lasting success in doing so. Are you lacking the hope and joy you once had because you’re now currently buried under pessimistic and despondent attitudes?It’s not unnatural for us humans to try to fix our problems or to overcome our battles on our own!

But in Jesus’ name we can stand still and see the salvation of the Lord not only give us the victory, but also give others the victory when we witness to them by the power of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord God Almighty. Won’t you stop them? This is the way it must be to win the victory over sins. Perhaps you can see one brewing in the distance and your mind begins to twist and toil in anticipation of what might be yet another financial, physical, or emotional battle, taking form on the heels of one you just went through! We stand before a great and awesome Creator God whose arm is not short that He cannot save us!
Let me summarize the rest of the story here in 2 Chronicles 20.In verse 18 Jehoshaphat and all of Judah bowed their heads and worshipped the Lord and praised God with voices loud and high. It was a matter of mathematics; the enemy by far outnumbered the people of Judah.
