Miranda, both the show and the actress, are delightful.
I’ve never laughed so much watching a film as I did watching this. The supporting characters too are all strongly written, with Miranda's lust for next door restaurant owner Gary and exasperation at posh friend Tilly, who still uses public school rhetoric as well as the always amusing 'bear with' catch phrase whenever distracted by her mobile phone. This is the funniest series ever, I don't LOL but with Miranda I had tears rolling down my face with some of her antics. This is one of the few characters on TV I can really relate to. All the asides to camera, the "will they won't they" romance with Gary, and Miranda's overbearing mum "such fun" make it all enjoyable to at watch. He goes to extra lengths to be able to be with them when a Judge makes it difficult for him to see. The first series is hilarious, the second was funny and the third was quick coarse actually and definitely not as funny as before. But the boxset did not include series 3 which was re[placed by the Christmas special which is not what I ordered When it didn't, I bought this DVD and I watched every episode multiple times because it's just so darn funny, I love the fact that she breaks the "fourth wall" and talks to the audience.
