Regatta Go! Public Art Project

On September 9, 2018, at around 7pm, a 4-piece band appeared in Davis Square. Then, a projector, an inflatable raft… and some crazy paddle controllers.

Project Regatta Go! was envisioned because a group of independent game creators decided that there needed to be more public art. The resulting product was a huge success. Crowds gathered to play the totally free game that a group of intrepid indies created in just 6 weeks time.

The experience was a lot of fun for participants: two players got into a row boat and had to navigate a digital obstacle course while a live band played responsively to how well they were doing onscreen. My role in the project was coordinating the music, and playing violin in the band. (And providing pirate hats.)
